New Technology From Apple

The iPhone is the signature device released by Apple and is one of it’s best selling electronics. The Apple Iphone 4S is the newest model of iPhone released by Apple, being released in October 2011. This Iphone employs New Technology from Apple that allows it to better serve the consumer and give them far more options and functionality when in use.

The Iphone 4S uses new technology in the way it handles its antenna, which will improve cell reception. Along the silver band that encases the phone are several antenna. Using new technology the Iphone 4S will switch to an antenna that is getting the best reception. This means that if you are holding the phone in such a way as to be blocking one of the antenna, it will switch to one of the antenna that is not being blocked.

Along with the new antenna is a new camera. The camera on the Iphone 4S can shoot pictures up to 8 megapixels with a resolution of 3264 by 2448 pixels. As well it is able to record 1080p quality video at around 30 frames per second. This is a very noticeable upgrade over the original Iphone 4. It also has built-in gyroscope to help stabilize the phone when taking video and is able to take photos at a blistering pace of 1.1 seconds.

Some of the New Technology from Apple being used with the 4S is the inclusion of multi-touch technology. What this does is allow you to use the touchscreen in more then one place at the same time, allowing you to multitask with greater ease. Along with the multi-touch and verbal commands it has a 3.5-inch screen with a resolution of 940 by 640. The Iphone 4S also allows you to use verbal commands to make use of some of it’s functions.

Battery power is another big thing the 4S has that older models do not. The Iphone 4S is said to have a standby time of around 400 hours whereas the original Iphone 4 only had 300 hours. On top of that, it is said to have a talk time of 8 hours on 3G and 14 hours on 2G. It also is able to support 3G web browsing for up to 6 hours and 9 hours of more traditional Wifi.

Although there are consumer reports that state the battery rapidly decreases after use. Like with all Apple devices the battery is not made to be removed except to be replaced by trained technicians at an Apple store.

Processing power is yet another New Technology from Apple. The 4S supports a powerful dual-core Apple A5 processor. This is a massive upgrade from the single-core A4 processor used in the original Iphone 4. Storage capacity was also increased up from its predecessors, able to store 64 GB worth of information. The 32 and 16 GB models still exist, though.

All in all, the Iphone 4S is a huge improvement over it’s older brethren and sports a lot of new technology straight from Apple.
